The giant toad or cane toad (Rhinella marina), also known as the giant neotropical toad or marine toad, is a species of the Bufonidae family. This amphibian has large poisonous glands; adults and tadpoles, when ingested, are highly toxic to most animals. It is large and terrestrial, measuring an average of 10 to 15 cm; the largest recorded specimen weighed 2.65 kg and reached 38 cm from snout to vent and 54 cm fully extended.
